Apologies to the Griz Band (also on the bill) for the inability to capture a half decent photo. We’ll work on our photography skills.

“”Transistor Radio” by The Spinning Leaves has always been one of my favorite songs. This song bursts with an infectious, acoustic folk-pop vibe. NICE!

Song Of The Day: Johnny Miles – Lost Treasure Found
“Lost Treasure Found” is the title track from Johnny Miles’ 2012 release, Lost Treasure Found. Wow, this song is an absolutely beautiful mellow masterpiece and an endearing delight to all ears. Give “Lost Treasure Found” a listen and we think you’ll agree.

Daylight Saving Time begins tomorrow and spring is just around the corner (March 20th) so what songs remind you of spring? If you were to make a spring playlist what Philly area artists would be on it? Well, think about it and then let us know.
‘Tis The Season: Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson - “Winter Song”. Aww, this is an absolutely beautiful song that’s so heartfelt and warm despite the chill the title might suggest.
‘Tis The Season: Julian Casablancas - “I Wish It Was Christmas Today”. This is a real rock cover of a fun Christmas song that was originally done on SNL. It’s now one of my faves.
‘Tis the Season: Amos Lee - “Holiday Song”
This song was released in December of 2009 and it has been an absolute favorite of mine ever since. It’s a beautiful song (much like most of Amos Lee’s music) and it fits this time of year so well.

The American Dollar - “War on Christmas”. This is an amazing song and since it has “Christmas” in the title we’ll consider it a holiday song. Just listen!
I’ve yet to see The American Dollar perform live but I hope that will happen sometime in 2013. I can’t wait!

Here’s the first of many holiday songs we plan on posting here. It’s “Christmas Eve” by Brian Flanagan Band. Be warned it’s “a not so merry Christmas song.”

In the near future you might notice new content on this Tumblr blog that’s not Philly music related and that’s okay. We’ve decided to use this blog space as a place for all great music — Philly and beyond.
As always, music suggestions are welcomed.
Music — too much is not enough.
